  10. INTRODUCTION

  12.     I am one of the many fellow Amiga users who use Martin Huttenloher's
  13.     fantastic "MagicWB" icons and fonts instead of the plain old boring
  14.     Commodore Workbench icons and semi-unreadable fonts.
  15.  
  16.     Ever since version 1.0 of MagicWB, I have been searching local BBS's
  17.     for more and more of these icons created by other MagicWB users.
  18.     Through my search of these BBS's I have also collected a lot of other
  19.     files without MagicWB icons (can you believe that!?)
  20.  
  21.     So I recently decided to have a go at designing some of these
  22.     MagicWB icons myself...  and here's the result in this archive.
  23.     I must admit though, I did not draw all of the icons myself!  I
  24.     simply cut-and-paste bits and pieces from other MagicWB icons to
  25.     create a lot of my icons, but they turned out pretty well (I think).
  26.     However I did draw some of them so hopefully you'll like them enough
  27.     to use on your MagicWB!

  29.     I recently gained full SLIP access to the Internet and so now my
  30.     search for more MagicWB collections has expanded all over the WORLD!!
  31.     So far two of the BEST collections I've come across have come from
  32.     two people - Roman Patzer's "RomIcons" series and Jan-Tore Eliassen's
  33.     "JTEMWB" series. I think they both set the standard for all of us
  34.     other "try-hard" MagicWB designers and they also provide a good
  35.     source of ideas to steal... er, um, borrow!? (suck-job complete ;-)

  37.     I was going to release this collection of MagicWV icons a lot earlier
  38.     but I was eagerly awaiting to receive my "Registered" version of
  39.     MagicWB V2.0 so that delayed this release.

  42. CONTENTS

  44.     This is my second release of MagicWB (but the first release was only
  45.     a minor release so those icons are also included in this archive too).
  46.  
  47.     The majority of icons in this release are Imagedrawers because they
  48.     are easy to draw, and take less time to create! I like them, I hope
  49.     you like them too!
  50.  
  51.     A lot of the icons and imagedrawers are also repeats of the same
  52.     thing but changed slightly, so hopefully there's at least one you'll
  53.     like enough to use!

  55.     There is also quite a few animbrushes for use with ToolManager which
  56.     I very quickly made up 1 day before release.  I hope you like these
  57.     especially because they have a marble background effect rather than
  58.     the MagicWB style background.  I found the background in another
  59.     collection of ToolManager brushes 1 day before my release, and I
  60.     think they make the ToolManager deck look very professional!

  83.     on any other computer besides the Amiga.

  96.     These icons are Giftware. If you like these icons and use them on your WB,
  97.     consider sending some gift to the author. I suggest a copy of your own
  98.     program or MagicWB icons (I love to receive software and especially other
  99.     MagicWB icons!) or a donation of $anything or even an 1960 monitor :-)

  101.     Even if you feel the icons are not worth any donation, I'd still love
  102.     to hear from you because its good to know who (and how many) are using
  103.     them! I want to hear what you think of them - whether they're good,
  104.     bad or totally suck! (not too many that say they suck - thanks!).

  106.     *** If you are currently using any program that doesn't have a quality
  107.         MagicWB icon, leave me a message (and/or copy of the program) and
  108.         I will attempt to create an icon for it (and even mention you in
  109.         my next release!
